It's Official: I'm on vacation!

I'm currently in Las Vegas and will be taking a break from blogging until I get back home and settled. I can't wait to not have my computer attached to my hip but... I kind of miss it already. I have blogged every single day of 2012 but I can't wait to catch up with y'all when I return!!

It's Official: I'm new to this.

For a really long time I never really understood Forever 21. I think my distaste arose because all of my experiences with the store took place at the Mall of America (aka masses of people, extreme mess and a one way street to claustrophobia). However, I like to think I've become more patient because lately they've been luring me in with some killer window displays. They really do have something for everyone!!!

It's Official: I live vicariously through movies.

I've posted about The Hunger Games plenty of times in the past so I think we are all clear about my obsession with Katniss and the crew. I thought it got out of hand last semester when I was frequently using lines from the movie in multiple class assignments but now that the DVD is out... I have officially crossed the line between fan and fanatic. I added this small gold bow to my Free People jacket yesterday and felt like Katniss all day.

It's Official: I'm swooning.

I wear a at least one ring every single day and basically feel naked without them. Currently I'm really into these tiny gold rings. I love how small and delicate they look on the finger. Sometimes adding accessories can be tricky because you don't want to load on too much but I love how you can pile these little guys on and still never have to worry!

It's Official: This is killing me.

The new Rugby Ralph Lauren ads are circulating around Tumblr and Pinterest and they are absolutely killing me (read: they are absolutely gorgeous). As much as it pains me to type this, it the ads remind me of that super cool old-school vintage 90's Abercrombie and... I like it... a lot. It's also just fun and fresh and although I mostly likely won't be finding outfits like these scattered all across my campus this fall, a girl can dream!

I've been searching for a pair of shoes that aren't to embarrassing to wear out in public (i.e slippers) but still comfortable and cute enough to wear outside my home. It's Official: Jill and Olivia have teamed up.

I love Olivia Palermo (duh, who doesn't?) but I also think it's worth mentioning that I have always enjoyed looking at Jill Stuart's runway collections. Therefore their new collaboration has me so excited! Jill Stuart has created a super chic new bag and named it directly after the socialite. The 'Palermo' comes in three colors - blue, orange and black.

It's Official: Charlotte who?

I just got these riding boots which initiated a lot of time spent on Google deep within phrases like, "riding style," and "equestrian chic," which in turn led me to a new revelation! And I'm completely mind-blown over this. I can't even estimate how many times I've seen a picture of Charlotte Casiraghi and not realized it's Charlotte Casiraghi. Let me rephrase that, who is this horse whisperer and how has she scraped by completely off the grid of my preppy radar for so long??!! Campaign with Gucci and custom riding attire? Princess of Monaco? Granddaughter of Grace Kelly? How dreamy!

It's Official: I shed a tear at Club Monaco.

It is scary how amazing Club Monaco's new line is. I walked in the store yesterday and practically couldn't form words. I know, I know, I exaggerate pretty much everything... but really... it's that beautiful. And, for those of you who do not have a store near you, no need to worry, the brand finally added Ecommerce to their website so now we can all purchase online!! I sadly cannot reiterate the way I acted when I spotted the Faye Zodiac Print Shirt. Ahh, fall has never looked so good!

It's Official: I just can't hide it.

It's Official: Back-to-school shoes.

When I was younger I remember always making a big production about get a new pair or "back-to-school shoes." My parents quickly stopped this tradition as soon as my shoes no longer cost less than $20. These days I think there is a really fine line between looking nice in class and being uncomfortable in class. The good news is, Dolce Vita helps solve all previously said issues. It's Official: Readers are leaders.

There is no other way to say this without sounding like an annoying smart aleck but... I kind of read a lot of books. I'm also super critical and can find something wrong with nearly every book I read. For this same reason all of my favorite books happen to be classics (The Odyssey, Alice In Wonderland, Catcher In The Rye...) and will forever be disputed/praised. However! I started Little Bee this morning and I'm completely addicted!

I'm not done yet so fingers crossed I enjoy the ending or this post will be worthless. I'm extremely hopeful that this is will not happen though - the writing is just that wonderful. If you still aren't intrigued, I offer you a few words, verbatim, from the back cover: "We don't want to tell you what happens in this book. It is a truly special story and we don't want to spoil it. I also read White Girl Problems this week and although the writing is kind of at a third grade level, that makes it that much more hilarous. And as much as I hate to admit it, it is the story of all of our lives - I laughed from beginning to end because it's insanely accurate. BTW I also had a super uncomfortable moment with the lady at the book store when I asked her if she could help me find this book... She literally gave me elevator eyes then repeated the title back uber-slowly and in the form of a question, "white?....girl?....problems?...??" UGH.

It's Official: Henri is my hero.

Obviously I love, love, love, wearing bangles (see any OOTD here). It should therefore come as no surprise that I'm extremely excited for the new Henri Bendel store to open at our nearby mall. They have amazing bangles yes, but they also sell handbags and various other accessories, too. Everything is so happy and upbeat and girly - as a women you can't help but like it!!
