It's Official: Fifty shades of addicted.

My last day of school is on Wednesday (!!!) so naturally I started a book completely unrelated to any subject I should be studying for finals. My boss praised Fifty Shades of Grey and convinced me to read the free sample on Amazon. I was instantly hooked.  She also recommended I buy it on my iPad so nobody sees me reading it but I ran out to the nearest bookstore and bought the the rest of the series (and The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks). I'm openly saying I love it and I highly suggest it. Besides being easy to read, it's unpredictable and oddly relatable. But, it's definitely rated R.

Have you read any of the above?

It's Official: I think we can all agree on Lilly P.

It would be silly to assume that were not all excited about the new 2012 Lilly Pulitzer collection. I think it is fantastic and I loveeee all the new prints-especialy You Gotta Regatta! The bright colors are great motivation to get through the school year and move into summer. I mean, when it comes down to it, everyone just looks better with a little tan!

What are your favorite new pieces at Lilly?

It's Official: The Otter Bay Company initiates tailgate withdrawal.

I discovered The Otter Bay Company a couple months ago and praised them being a perfect supplier for gameday apparel. I love everything the brand represents so coming home to a package from them was too exciting! My new Cyprus Keystone V-Neck is the most gorgeous color (I swear the picture doesn't do justice!) and I'm not exaggerating when I say the quality is outstanding. I love it and highly recommend Otter Bay not only for gameday, but any day. You can see how I wore it here!

After our spring football game last week my friends and I organized a tailgate inspired BBQ with a ton of deserts. It was sooo fun--I'm excited for summer but I'm much more excited for the season to start!!

Football shaped sugar cookies and brown frosting! Similar recipe here!
The most delicious dirt cake! Ever.
So. Many. Scotcheroo's!! I'm still full.

With the recent NFL draft and The Otter Bay Company on my mind,
football season is, officially, right around the corner.
Who's else is excited?!

It's Official: I need a Pink me up.

Happy Friday y'all! It's finally the weekend and I couldn't be more excited. Is it just me or did this week go by sssssllloooww!? Next Monday, the 30th, will kick off my last week being a college junior year (!!!) and I'm already counting down. But, before the crunch time from Final Exams begins, I'm ready to have one last relaxing weekend. Southern Frock dresses are ideal for what I plan to do - get some sun, a lot of fresh air and relax!

Do you have any fun weekend plans?

It's Official: Port Winsor makes my heart sing.

Even though our weather hasn't been encouraging it, I have been really into tunics lately. Needless to say when I stumbled across Port Winsor I was extremely excited! Not only are the colors and patterns great but I love the fun pictures on their website. They are real and fresh and SO fun!! Plus, they pair most of the sample outfits with Jack Rogers - brilliant!

It's Official: My jean jacket rocks.

I've been really into my jean jacket this spring. We had an abnormally warm winter so I pulled it out early and it's definitely broken in. But, I love it. It just always seems to match everything. Easy to dress down something (because I'm constantly that overdressed girl) or add an extra layer of warm for chilly morning. I got my Levi's jean jacket last year but I'm currently loving this J.Crew one.

It's Official: Seeing stripes.

I've always admired Saint James for their high reputation and their fresh, nautical looks. Unfortunately I've never purchased any of their clothing because their size conversion charts freaks me out. But, I think this will have to change because I love their new 2012 lookbook. I love it so much I'm asking y'all for help. If any of you know of or have suggestions on Saint James sizing or services, I would love to hear!!

So adorable.
What is your experience with Saint James?!

It's Official: Penny-Pinching Prep.

As all college students are bombarded with heavy tuition costs, the absurd price of books and pricey on campus groceries and drinks, we love take finding a good deal. Even if you have expensive taste, any good shopper will eventually come to realize you just have to know where to shop. And, with enough confidence, your bargain purchases can come off looking just like the high end goods!

$145 Hunter espadrille vs. $36 Keds espadrille

Have you found any penny-pinching deals lately?

It's Official: The statement necklace trend has gone viral.

The statement necklace trend has been everywhere lately. I'm consistently seeing it on Pinterest boards, Tumblr dashboards, Instagram feeds and other various inspirational sites. Brands and designers alike have been producing them left and right. I like that they can easily dress up an outfit or make a simple dress more exciting.

Here's how I recently wore one of my favorite (more discrete) statement necklace's!

Would you try the statement necklace trend?
And, Happy Earth Day!!

It's Official: I have a crush on Tommy.

I've been all over the new arrivals at Tommy Hilfiger lately. Everything is so perfect!! I also can't help but love when companies create entire looks for you. It really helps me understand basic matching techniques and outfit ideas. I cannot even tell you how ecstatic I was after seeing this model. I really think the world would be a better place if more people owned the bright plaid shirt. Everyone needs it.

I immediately order this Anchor Intarsia Cardigan anchor cardigan!
Prepare to see it on an upcoming OOTD!!

What brand are you currently crushing on?!

It's Official: You can never be too preppy.

Last night I re-organized my closet to prepare for summer (see here) when I realized how deceiving that picture really was. It looks like a lot of pink when really 3/4 of my closet is either red, grey or some shade of blue. I guess there is just something about these three colors that is inherintly nautical and screams prep. Or, maybe I just have immense American pride? I mean... The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday!

Brooks Brothers Belt and Purse

This set kind of doubles as a birthday list,
especially the folding Ray-Bans (psst mom and dad)!!

What's on your current wish-list?

It's Official: Homemade Lilly Pulitzer bookmarks for everyone!

Remember when I wanted something festive for Valentine's day and made this heart bookmark? With spring cleaning in full effect, I really wanted an updated one. Out with the old, in with the new! I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate spring than to make it Lilly Pulitzer inspired. Plus I'm obsessed with the new 'Dot Dot Hop' print so how could I resist?!

Find and print the anchor image of your choice, or draw one free hand.
Cut out the anchor plus an additional small circle.
Trace your anchor onto the Lilly print (solid paper works too) of your choice and cut it out.
Glue the top half of the circle to the center the anchor.
*Thicker card stock will work best. All full sized Lilly prints are available here!*

For my fellow OCD friends, this would also make the perfect page marker in a planner!
What do you use as a bookmark?

It's Official: The secret to success.

I can't believe it took me this long in my college career to find SelfControl. I feel the need to share it with y'all because it has saved my life in recent weeks--I really hope somebody else finds it as useful as I have. If you're anything like me and reward yourself with 90 minutes of Pinterest, then this app is for you!!

SelfControl is a program that will block any website(s) you want for a predetermined period of time. The best part is it only blocks the sites you want. For example, if you need work on a research paper that requires access to Google, Moodle or Blackboard, you're totally safe. Just make sure you set your timer with caution because once you hit start, there is no going back.

Even if I just block a couple sites (Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest) for an hour, I'm amazed at how much more work I can get done. I think it's also the mind set of turning on a timer that subconsiously tells you to buckle down and focus. I used to think I needed an internet intervention but now I have this app!

I speculated that because it was free it would be a scam, would immensely slow down my computer or cause some crazy virus but I've been using it for two weeks and so far, so good. You can download SelfControl here!

Have you ever tried SelfControl?!
Did you find it useful?

It's Official: Here comes the sun.

I think I speak for everyone when I say summer needs to hurry up and get here. It's always tough knowing the last thirty days of school will be the most tiring but there is always something to look forward to. Maybe a new graduation dress? A summer internship? Studying abroad? Sunshine!? Whatever it may be, we're all struggling to make it there. Just remind yourself that when it's all said and done you'll be glad you stayed up a little longer, made better flashcards, took better notes or had that last minute cram sesh - so do it!!

"No one looks back on their life and remembers the nights they got plenty of sleep."

Don't forget your camera and waterproof mascara! "The tassel's worth the hassle!"

"Do the things you need to do, when you need to do them,
so one day you can do the things you want to do, when you want to do them."

What part of summer are you looking forward to most?

It's Official: I'm a skirt girl.

I usually prefer skirts over pants or shorts--they are a little bit dressier and more figure flattering (on me). I also like that you can mix and match tops, unlike with dresses, for even more outfit combinations. Yesterday I wore one of my favorite skirts, the J.Crew City Mini. I loveee the neon pink but I'm thinking about getting another color!

Sandals: Jack Rogers
Phone Cover: Lilly Pulitzer

Other skirts I'm currently loving...

Where is your favorite place to shop for skirts?
Do you prefer skirts to shorts? Skirts over dresses?
