I'm super OCD about my nails and I'm super obsessed with astrology. The combination of these addictions basically means I treat my nail polish color like a horoscope. I won't even consider a color if I don't feel some sort of personal attachment and/or attraction to the name. I also find painting my nails to be oddly theraputic. There is just something about trying to make it as perfect as possible. Not to mention being immobile for a good 20 minutes is also relaxing. When doing in-home nails, I prefer Essie nail polish. It goes on so much smoother and the color quality surpasses all other competitors.
Most nail salons in my area haven't hoped on the Essie train yet so my most recent color is
OPI Charged Up Cherry. As I've been on a huge cherry kick lately, it seemed only appropriate!
What nail polish brands/colors do you suggest?

I'm obsessed with Essie but I don't wear bold colors because I'm SUPER ocd and as soon as the bold color gets a tiny chip I cannot stand it. My current fav is Limo-Scene by Essie. This is a pic of the color: https://twitter.com/#!/catamarann29/media/slideshow?url=http%3A%2F%2Finstagr.am%2Fp%2FL3L8H6D5QN%2F
ReplyDeleteJust happened across your blog yesterday and love it!
I. love. Essie. My absolute favorite of all time! I never buy anything else... I just can't resist their cute little bottles.

have like Essie alot in past but even better are the Zoya polishes, found in nice salons - it goes on so well, especially when using their base and topcoat too - if your salon doesn't have them they can be ordered online, also Whole Foods carries the polish as it is all vegan
ReplyDeleteLove me some Essie
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with Essie! I think I might have to get Mojito Madness!
ReplyDeleteJust bought two new colors in Essie yesterday, I think they're starting to become my new OPI. :)
