Even though the weather outside is damp and breezy, it's so tempting to buy all the new, skimpy, summer clothes. If you do fall into this sales trap (I'm guilty), I recommend only buying simple structures, colors and patterns. You'll have an unlimited number of outfit choices to last you the entire year just by layering and rearranging these pieces.
This J. Crew Maritime Dress is a perfect example. By only adding an undershirt (Blair for inspiration!) and a change of shoes, you can transition from spring to summer in a matter of seconds.

ReplyDeleteI love the undershirt under the dress - I'm not sure it'd work on my body, but its so cute on Blair! I am a total sucker for Summer deals in March, even if I am staring at nothing but Pacific Northwest rain and cold for break!
