It's Official: Buy luggage, will travel.

With March being Spring Break month, that can only make April a serious gateway drug for depression. There's nothing to look forward to with all the constant rain and teasing weather.  How about buying yourself some new luggage? I cannot imagine a better way to instigate a trip than having new merchandise. I've complied the best choices for every personality.

The Pampered Diva. Destination: St. Barts. The fact that these Hackett bags are labeled under men's luggage is borderline discrimination. Definitely unisex. If a large hat and sunglasses that cover too much of your face still aren't feminine enough, go to Louis Vuitton and find something suitable.

The Backpacking Adventurer. Destination: Chantry Flats, Arcadia, California. The 2011 Camelbak 'Fourteener' backpack has it all. This reliable brand has truly created a masterpiece. The company claims it's praised feature, a built-in water bottle, is the "ultimate cure for dehydration" (I also know plenty of permanently drunk peers who regard this as the ultimate cure for becoming dehydrated). On top of that, it offers spots for trekking poles and ice picks, has a sunglass pocket and plenty of storage space for an extra 10-25 pounds. There are a bazillion different shapes, colors and sizes to accommodate all activities.

The Individual. Destination: Scottsdale, Arizona. While Longchamp bags are well on their way to becoming mainstream, the custom Le Pliage bags are too hard to ignore. The center stripe makes it easy to find in a crowded airport, the sturdy material makes it useful in various weather situations and if you don't like to be too matchy-matchy, changing colors still allows a streamlined look. Most importantly, you can monogram your initials or name right onto the bag--a godsend.

The Wild Child. Destination: Las Vegas, Nevada. This Marc Jacobs bag is every shackers dream. It's packable and has more than enough storage space for the variety of debauch items that are sure to present themselves. The enormous size and flexible nylon material allow you to load it up and literally run out the door.

  2. What about the Coach Men's Hampton Tote? Do you think this is a good buy or no?

  3. I think for the extra twenty dollars I would get the Weekend Tote because it has more neutral color choices and a detachable shoulder strap. The neutral colors would make it more practical for travel all year long. Nonetheless, I do think they are great, very sturdy bags!
