It's Official: April showers bring May flowers and transition.

Transition is the key word. I always have the hardest time transitioning out of winter. As the birds start chirping, the grass gets greener and the flowers bloom, I only want shorts, dresses and skirts. However, I know when I leave for class in the morning and its still 50 degrees, I'll look and feel ridiculous. Plus, knowing that I'll be inside for a majority of the day I always like to have a jacket on hand. The spontaneous rain sessions don't ofter any help either. Therefore, I complied a few suggestion's to get through these next couple of weeks until the real warmth kicks in!

For a cozy, rainy day:  Hunter boots are a must have investment. Truly, you'll wonder how you ever survived the rain without them. Likewise, Sperry Topsiders are a great choice for an overcast day/if your unsure of rain in the forecast. I suggest finding a warm yet still presentable jacket for the morning to run errands in; this belted Northface 'Avery' jacket is a perfect choice. The simplicity of the top will allow pairing with jeans, leggings, or a skirt depending on what you have planed.

Working the day shift: Florals are so hot right now. Find a bright dress and leave the rest of the work out. There are a TON of great choices at Anthropologie. The pictured dress is ECI and available at Nordstrom. These particular Jack Roger leather 'Navajo' sandals are stunning, but really anything neutral will work! I like fun, skinny bangles and a simple black bag to finish off the look.

Friday! Spring night out: I have always found it more wise to invest in good shoes and bags than clothing because for the most part, you never really grow out of them. It is also eaiser to keep up with the trends this way. A dark pair of skinny jeans, black heals, and a clutch you love are the perfect place to start. Any top of your choice will make it your own and allow maximum confidence. Have fun!
